Neretva Delta – Photo Safari

We offer all our guests an unforgettable experience – a **Photo Safari in the Neretva River Delta**. Ride in a *lađa*, a traditional Neretva boat, through hundreds of canals and explore the untouched heart of the Neretva wetlands. Pass through areas once navigated by Greeks, Illyrians, and Romans, and where Neretva pirates launched attacks on enemy galleys.

At the outlet of Lake Kuti, you will find an additional feature of our hospitality offer—our Neretva House, accessible only by water. There, far from the rush of modern life, you will experience moments once known only to our ancestors, who truly knew how to make the most of the natural abundance surrounding them.

Tasting traditional Neretva specialties, prepared in an authentic setting, is an unforgettable experience. During the summer, guests can also refresh themselves by swimming in the lake.

As part of the excursion, we organize a visit to the Ornithological Collection in Metković, unique because all exhibited birds were collected in the Neretva Delta area. The collection contains over 340 exhibits representing 230 different bird species. Although the Neretva Delta has preserved several bird reserves, some species can now only be seen in this collection.

In addition, we take you to the archaeological site of ancient Narona in Vid. Narona was the second-largest Roman city on the eastern Adriatic coast, influenced by both Greek and Illyrian cultures. In 1996, archaeologists discovered sixteen imperial statues at the Forum site, which are currently traveling the world as part of exhibitions while the museum construction is being completed. Particularly impressive is the story of how the head and body of the statue of Empress Livia were finally reunited.
