Mljet – National Park

With this exciting full-day excursion, we will take you to the island of **Mljet**. Have you heard of Odysseus, the legendary Greek hero and king of Ithaca?

According to one of many legends, Odysseus was shipwrecked on Mljet and hid in a cave, lured there by the nymph Calypso, where he became her captive. On this excursion, we will visit the famous **Odysseus Cave** and **Lemuni Beach**, where Saint Paul the Apostle also survived a shipwreck!

Today, Mljet is a forested paradise and a national park, known for its stunning saltwater lakes. Another natural wonder is the small island in the lakes, home to the **12th-century Benedictine Monastery of St. Mary**. We will visit the Odysseus Cave, swim, and explore one of the ancient legends surrounding Odysseus. Later, we will pass through the village of **Soline**, enjoy its panoramic views, and sail through the lakes and waters of Mljet National Park.

Our next stop is the village of **Polače**, where we will disembark and have free time to visit the saltwater lakes and the Benedictine Monastery of St. Mary. After returning to Polače, we will have lunch. The excursion continues to a secret site of amphorae and a Roman shipwreck, where we can dive, swim, and enjoy this unique experience.

The story of Odysseus and the nymph Calypso, Saint Paul, the Benedictines, and even the Mediterranean monk seal are just a few of the many legends woven into the history of Mljet.

Join us in exploring this magical island, its natural beauty, and its fascinating legends.
