Medjugorje is a unique phenomenon in the modern world, a sanctuary that gathers countless pilgrims from around the globe, all seeking peace for their souls and hearts. Today, it is one of the largest centers of prayer worldwide. The story of Medjugorje is among the most remarkable supernatural events of our time. Apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary were first reported in this small village in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1981. Countless testimonies from pilgrims speak of the faith and inner peace they found here.
The sanctuary of Medjugorje is divided into three spiritual zones: the **Church of St. James**, the hill where the Virgin Mary first appeared, and **Križevac Hill**. These sacred sites are accessible to millions of believers seeking comfort and spiritual fulfillment. On this tour, you will have the opportunity to visit all three zones and attend a Mass at the local church.
The tour concludes with a visit to the most beautiful waterfalls in Herzegovina – the **Kravice Waterfalls**. Located about 3 km downstream from Vitaljina, near Studenci and close to Ljubuški, the waterfalls were formed by the tufa-rich Trebižat River. The falls reach a height of 26–28 meters, with a natural amphitheater beneath measuring 120 meters in diameter. Grass, moss, algae, and lichens grow along the tufa layers from the base to the top of the falls, while surrounding vegetation includes hemp, fig trees, and poplars. Historically, the area was home to numerous active mills and fulling hammers along the falls.
This excursion combines spiritual reflection, breathtaking scenery, and a touch of history, offering an unforgettable experience of Herzegovina’s treasures.
